PM Viktor Orban introduced a ten-point action plan for the EU on the current difficulties in the Schengen Area. The proposed plan describes external border protection and how to save free movement within the EU.
Schengen 2.0 was introduced ten-point action plan at the meeting of the Centrist Democrat International (CDI) held in Lisbon on Friday. PM Orban stated that the current migration management of the EC was not on the right track with the continuous seeking for asylum system reform. In Hungary’s view, “borders must be protected”.
The newly proposed action plan will also be circulated among the V4 countries and other EU Prime Ministers over the next few days. Mr Orban will present it in Germany next week, as well, and also in a number of other European countries afterwards.
