PM Viktor Orban greeted the Hungarian Jewish community in a letter on the event of Hanukkah.
Mr Orban wished every member of the community a blessed and peaceful Hanukkah. "I wish to greet you with the greatest respect on the occasion of the Festival of Lights. Remembering the significant events of our past together year after year and jointly giving thanks for liberation is an important cohesive force in the life of every family and every community. The faith and perseverance of ancestors may not only set an example for the present, but may also offer hope and encouragement to future generations”, he wrote.
