Public safety, energy dependance, wages and food safety was among the topics of Lazar Janos's press conference.

Hungary is one of the safest countries of Europe, but illegal

immigration can endanger the recently restored public safety, the

Minister Heading the PM's Office, Janos Lazar told his weekly press

conference. He reminded that when Fidesz was elected in 2010, the

number of registered criminal acts was between 440-450.000, but in

2016 this decreased to only 270-290.000.

Mr. Lazar also stated that the wages of employees at state-owned

companies will rise by 30 % until 2019. He stressed that the European

Commission hasn't made its decision about the Paks nuclear plant for

18 months now and this harms the country, increases its import energy

dependance.

The minister also commented on the report which found out that

multinational companies export lower-quality products to Hungary than

to for example Austria. Mr. Lazar said that government will address

the problem.
