The embassy of the DPRK in Vienna asked the Hungarian embassy to explain why the Foreign Minister called their country a threat to the world equal to ISIS.
Earlier this month, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó visited Seoul, and said that North Korea, which is lead by a "crazy communist dictator", is one of the biggest threats to the world, just like the Islamic State. The embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Vienna (which is also accredited to Hungary) contacted the Hungarian embassy in Vienna to ask for an explanation. The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said that the mentioned statement fully represents the views of Mr Szijjártó. The Ministry said that Hungary has dark historical experiences with communist atrocities and is aware of the situation of the citizens of the DPRK. They added that Hungary is seriously worried because of the Korean nuclear program.
