New light railway was inaugurated Saturday in Val Valley. PM Orban attended the event.
The renovation was funded by an EU fund. Brussels sponsored the project with HUF 600 mln. PM Orban announced that the first etap was just the beginning, the second stage was also scheduled it need funding. “We’ll see when we’ll have money to continue”, said PM Orban.
Hungary has altogether 15 light railways throughout the country. All of them are very popular, 800,000 people traveled them last year, so new light railway will help to develop Val Valley as a popular hub for tourists.
