A newly established department of the Ministry of Interior works on the Hungarian ties of the Panama Papers.
It will coordinate the current investigating groups, ask for information on national and international level, and liaise with other investigating groups in Hungary and abroad, officials announced.
PM Viktor Orban announced this week to establish several investigating groups under the umbrella of police forces and National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) to investigate one by one all Hungarian ties of the international offshore scandal.
