The Hungarian parliament adopted a new amendment to the Constitution on a new legal cathegory called state of terrorism threat.
In case of a significant and direct threat of a terrorist attack or in the event of an actual terrorist attack, the Hungarian government will be able to introduce extraordinary measures, including suspension of the application of certain laws, departing from effective statutory regulations and adopting other extraordinary measures as defined in the relevant cardinal law.
State of terrorism threat also allows government to deploy the Hungarian Defense Forces if the forces of the police and the national security services prove to be insufficient.
