NATO should be involved in handling the migration situation, said Gyorgy Bakondi, Chief Security Adviser to the Prime Minister.
Security challenges triggered by illegal migration should be met with military responses, which would necessitate NATO involvement, Mr Bakondi said, adding that it doesn't necessarily mean armed intervention, but, for instance, use of the Alliance’s reconnaissance, logistical, training and naval capacities.
