The majority of retail establishments will be open again on Sundays from 8 May, says reports.
Some shops (for eg Aldi, Tesco and Penny) already took advantage of the parliament’s decision on banning the Sunday closing law, and opened for customers last week. The majority of retail business, however, need some time to go back the opening schedule that was usual before 15 March, 2015.
Spar announced a gradual reopening on Sundays, just like Auchan that has already opened many shops. Media Markt still needs time to negotiate on the term of working conditions, so the exact date is not scheduled yet.
As for Praktiker, it will open on 8 May, and lastly IKEA will open its gates on 22 May.
