The Hungarian government will spend a lot more on tourism to make the country the touristic hub of Central Europe.
Next year the government will spend more than ever, 21 billion HUF on the development of tourism, the President of the Hungarian parliament, Laszlo Kover said at the opening ceremony of Thermal Hotel Balance and its spa in Lenti, which was constructed following an investment of the local government. Mr Kover said that the framework of tourism development will double in 2017, funds will be spent on developing the quality of accommodations, national and international marketing and support for events. The whole tourism industry can make one step forward, he said, adding that the government's goal is to make tourism perform better in economic growth and creating jobs.
