The Italian airline, Alitalia will increase the number of operating flights to Budapest Airport form nine to ten flights weekly.
Alitalia also announced that it will send bigger planes for the increased number of passengers. Italian Ambassador to Hungary Maria Assunta Accili said that Budapest is the second most favourite tourist destinations among the Italians, so it was important to increase seat number.
Zsolt Nagy, CEO of Alitalia's Hungarian subsidiary added that flights to Budapest operated with fullness over 80 percent and the new flights would give the opportunity to fly from Budapest to Fuimicino Airport, Rome in the morning.
