The Hungarian and the Serbian government discussed economic relations, investment and migration in Nis.
Serbia and Hungary laid down the political foundations of bilateral economic cooperation and now the time has come to carry out investments that benefit both countries, Hungarian Prime Minister said at the Serbian-Hungarian intergovernmental meeting in Nis. Mr Orbán said that Hungary would only carry out investments in Serbia which are in line with our economic strategy, and that Serbia should also invest in Hungary. He informed that Eximbank opened a 61 million euro credit line to support Serbian-Hungarian business ties, adding that it can provide even more credit if needed.
Regarding the migration crisis Mr Orbán said that Hungary supports every measure Serbia implements to stop illegal migration, including manpower, experts or financial resources. The Prime Minister said that migration is no joking matter, we can't make mistakes, because we won't be able to correct them later. ”Where masses of migrants arrive, life changes and our children and grandchildren will ask us why we let our countries, their cultures, ethnic compositions to be changed for the worse”, he added.
