Officials say that newest data show, more migrants has arrived until mid-February than refugees' altogether numbers in the first six months of 2015.
Experts previously have said that migration influx should decline during the winter month, but data show more and more migrants leave the Middle East and cross over the Aegean Sea despite its dangerous conditions during the winter. Western Balkan route delivers thousands of migrants daily, searching for new routes as countries have started to close its borders. For example, human traffickers transport migrants to the Hungarian-Serbian border again, and they have already tested the Hungarian-Romanian border to bypass fence on the Hungarian-Serbian border.
