Minister of Human Capacities Zoltan Balog asks Hungarians to hold private commemorations on 4 November to remember the martyrs of the 1956 Revolution.
Friday will be the 60th anniversary of USSR strong reply to the events of 23 October that stoke off the Hungarian Revolution. In addition to the official commemorations, Mr Balog asked Hungarians to light a candle Friday night to remember.
