The Hungarian National Atomic Enegry Office has extended the lifespan of Paks 3 by another 20 years.
The operating nuclear block has been operating since 1986. So the operating permit was due to expire by the end of the year. According to the Agency, however, the block is in great shape and can work for another 20 years.
