As reaction to the Italian PM Matteo Renzi's statement, Hungarian officials announced that Italy blackmailed Hungary and the V4 regarding potential EU funds cut.
PM Renzi previously remarked EU should cut funds of the four countries that refuse to accept the quotas system. Government Spokesperson Zoltan Kovacs reacted that V4 firmly believes that quota system cannot be a solution the EU migration problem. “It's simply not feasible”, he said.
