Hungary’s industrial production rose 7.5% last year, slighly below the 7.4% growth in 2014, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday. In terms of output, production reached pre-crisis levels.
Industrial production was up by 9.4% in year-on-year terms in December, while the index adjusted for working days showed a 6.9% growth. On a monthly basis, output fell 0.7%. Hungary aims to increase the share of industrial output to 30% of the GDP by 2020 from 24% at present, said Aron Mark Lenner, deputy state secretary of the National Economy Ministry.
