According to Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovacs, the Hungarians are sole protectors of Europe against invasion of migrants.
Mr Kovacs was interviewed by La Stampa where he stressed that the Hungarian referendum is about the EU. “On the contrary, Budapest defends the EU, protects its borders”, he added, saying that Hungary says no to Brussels’ decisions which „jeopardise Hungary’s security and culture”.
„We do not like walls, but we have to protect ourselves. Not only against migrants, but equally against terrorism, and the disintegration of our culture”, Mr Kovacs said.
