Hungary commemorates the 1956 Revolution with several events. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto visited a high school commemoration Friday to remember the event.
“We have to be brave and proud. That's what 1956 teaches us”, he said, adding that Hungary was proud of Hungarians irrespectively of their possible emigration in 1956. Mr Szijjarto also stated that the Hungarian emigration back then couldn't be compared to the current migrant crisis.
