Prime Minister Viktor Orban - in his capacity as Fidesz's president - discussed the current situation Venezuela on the phone with Pablo Casado, president of the Spanish People's Party.

As memers of the European People's Party, Orban and Casado were in total agreement on the issue, the prime minister's press chief, Bertalan Havasi told MTI.

Orban emphasised that on this issue Hungary adopts the same position as the Spanish People’s Party, Kormany.hu reports. Accordingly it was agreed that President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro must resign from office immediately, and the countries of Europe must recognise Juan Guaidó as interim president.
