Minister of Interior Sandor Pinter announced a higher level of terror alert after the suicide attacks in Brussels.
Hungary increased level of terror alert to level II after the Brussels' attacks. Mr Pinter has instructed the Counter Terrorism Centre (TEK) to increase its level of preparedness, and police forces to increase surveillance at Hungary’s international airports and at metro stations in the capital.
According to eyewitnesses, the security procedure at Budapest's flying field, Liszt Ferenc International Airport, has been stricter than ever.
