According to officials, Hungary is experiencing calm days regarding migration, but things can fundamentally change if the Slovenians also decide that closing their border is necessary.

Hungary is in calm before storm”, explained the situation Minister of State for Government Communication Bence Tuzson Tuesday. “We don’t know what will happen if the Slovenians prefer to close their borders.” He also added that European solidarity means that Europe can defend its borders together, just like V4 has already done it.
Mr Tuzson stated that, currently, there are two major opinions fighting in Europe. One believes that strong nations can form Europe as an alliance. The other sees only the man. “In this case, a German, an Austrian, a Hungarian, a French and a European man can form. We can’t support such belief.”
On the other hand, the minister thinks Schengen law is one Europe’s most important invention that needs to be saved. “But it can be done only with joint efforts”, he stated.
