According to István Simicskó, the terrorist attack in London also highlights the importance of security and the funding of national self-defense.
The Minister of Defence also added that „Hungary agrees with the United States that we must take more effective against terrorism”, and warned about the threats and dangers posed by the migration crisis in Europe. Mr. Simicskó said that mass migration represents a great opportunity for some terrorist groups to get into Europe, and that is why it is important to represent a greater military presence in the borders and danger zones. The Minister of Defence also stressed that Hungary is deeply committed to its NATO membership, and would like to spend more money on the national defence.
