Hungary and Turkey cooperate on the reconstruction and restoration of the Tomb of Gul Baba. Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Veysi Kaynak visited Budapest to discuss reconstruction and other economic issues.
Both Mr Kaynak and the Hungarian officials stated that Hungary and Turkey had to be rivals during some times of the history but they have a very deep friendship. As a sign of this friendship, Hungary and Turkey finance together the restoration process that includes not only the tomb itself, but the neighbouring streets, gardens and plumbing system.
