It's better to act independently than to remain passive together, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban emphasised regarding the migration crisis when speaking to the public radio.
"Hungary was the first nation state to act independently and thanks to this today Hungary is the most protected country of the EU, which is by the way passive", Viktor Orban said when being asked about Angela Merkel's opposition to national solutions to migration. According to the Prime Minister the migration crisis and the passivity of Brussels endangers a better future and the possibility of progress. He also noted that Hungary has been financing the protection efforts of the country alone, the EU didn't help.
"We don't let anyone enter Hungary's territory without control. Here there will be no fence outbreaks, migrant riots, arson attacks on refugee camps, there will be no gangs chasing Hungarian women", he added. "Hungary won't be like Europe in this sense, Hungary remains a safe place", the Prime Minister emphasised.
Mr Orban pointed out that "Greece has broken the Schengen agreement", let in the migrants, but "some", - including Germany, "but there are others too behind the curtain" -, always protected them.
General Philip Breedlove, Nato's supreme allied commander recently blamed Russia for causing the migration crisis by bombing Syria. Mr Orbán reminded that migrants were flowing to Europe long before Russia started bombing Syria so it's illogical to blame the Russians for it.
