The Hungarian-British economic relations must be safeguarded and strengthened, said Minister for National Economy Mihaly Varga after his meeting with EU Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier.
It is Hungary’s best interest to keep relations as tight as possible between the United Kingdom and the European Union after the Brexit, Mr Varga said, adding that the wish of British voters must be respected. The best outcome for Hungary would be a remaining open common market, that could help to strengthen close Hungarian-British economic relations.
