According to Laszlo Trocsanyi, Minister of Justice in Hungary, the EU should not intervene in the internal affairs of Member States but should exercise the powers which are within its competence.
Mr Trocsanyi was interviewed by the he Polish daily Rzeczpospolita in relation to the current, EU questioned issues in Poland. He stressed that there had been no need for any external institution to resolve those internal policy issues. “No good comes from that”, he said.
As for the EC may Poland’s voting rights, he shared a fear that “it would have a very negative impact on the future of the whole European Union”.
