The Hungarian government and the European Commission share a similar view on the Hungarian economy, announced Minister for National Economy Mihaly Varga after his meeting with European Commission Vice President for the Euro and Social Dialogue Valdis Dombrovskis.
Although the Hungarian Government is more optimistic with regard to Hungary’s economic growth, the European Commission and the Government share a similar opinion on the country’s fiscal and financial status, he said, adding that Hungary’s fiscal management has been prudent for years, the state debt ratio has been cut and the budget deficit has been kept below 3 percent of GDP.
