Minister Lazar made it clear once again: we don't take back those who entered the EU in Greece, but were not registered there.
Hungary will not take back migrants who reached the European Union via Greece, the Minister Heading the Prime Minister's Office, Janos Lazar said at a campaign event in Mako. He made it clear, Hungary can only accept back those who entered the EU for the first time in Hungary. As Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto emphasized several times, almost nobody from those, who took the Western Balkan route entered the EU in Hungary for the first time. Their first EU country was Greece, but they weren't registered there.
Mr Lazar, who is the MP for Mako's region, recalled that Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Norway wants to deport back ten thousands of migrants to Hungary. ”It would be unfair if Hungary had to take care of them instead of the rich Scandinavian countries”, he added.
