Hungary is ready to build a fence on the Hungarian-Romanian border, if migration influx makes it necessary, announced Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister Gyorgy Bakondi at his press conference Saturday.

Currently, only officers patrols next the border area, but if the number of illegal migrants increases significantly, 450 kilometer long fence will be built along the Hungarian-Romanian border. Mr Bakondi also announced that Hungary will also strengthen the current fence on the Southern border, if it’s needed. Moreover, it prepares for a potential, Austrian-made fence with building migrant camps at Szentgotthard and Kormend.
