Despite criticism of some NGO's, Hungary is giving asylum according to the Geneva Convention, think tank explained.

Hungary gives temporary protection to those, for whom it can't be guaranteed neither in a third country, nor their homeland, the Centre for Fundamental Rights (Alapjogokért Kozpont) wrote on Wednesday. According to the Hungarian think tank's analysis despite numerous criticism by ”human rights fundamentalist” organisations the Geneva Convention ensures asylum right in the first country where the migrant's life is not in danger. This means that a Syrian migrant has the right for asylum in Turkey, Lebanon or Jordan, they added.
