An economic conference in Budapest had some interesting revelations. According to Laszlo Szabo, Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hungary has bigger Influence than ever before.
“Hungary’s importance has increased within the European Union; the country has a greater influence than before and compared to its size in Europe in both economic diplomacy and foreign policy”, he said referring to the country’s firm opinion on migration crisis management.
Mr Szabo acknowledged that the current political elite in the EU “doesn't like Hungary”, although he mentioned favouring feedbacks, as well. He talked about German CEOs, as examples, who believed Hungary had protected not only the Schengen system, but also their economic interests.
