Hungary Commemorated Zoltan Kocsis

The pianist, conductor died at the age of 64

Thousands of Hungarians, including dignitaries, lined up at Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest to commemorate the worldwide famous pianist and conductor, Zoltan Kocsis.

Members of the international music world, the Hungarian government and other dignitaries, as well friends and acquaintances payed their respects to Zoltan Kocsis who died on Nov. 6 at the age of 64. Many people watched the remembrance on a giant screen outside the Academy.

President Janos Ader remembered Kocsis as a world renowned performer about whom was not easy to talk about in past tense.
