Hungary celebrated it's teachers Sunday. Teachers' Day has celebrated in the country since 1952.
Fidesz Party greeted teachers on Teachers' Day, saying “their work must be celebrated all over the year”. According to their statement, the Hungarian government stands next to the teacher society by raising their wages and trying to give them more respect. As an example, the statement stressed the wages of teachers has been increased with 40 percent on average since 2013.
However, opposition parties and labour unions dissatisfied with the government's actions.
Hungary has celebrated its teachers since 1952.
