"Thanks to efforts by the government, parliament and the police," Hungary is the 15th safest country in the world, interior minister Sandor Pinter said.
At a ceremony inaugurating 570 new vehicles for the riot police, Pinter said the number of crimes committed in the country had decreased from 430,000 to 215,000 during the past two government cycles, MTI reports.
