A Hungarian woman sustained a broken arm during the terrorist attack in Barcelona, according the the MFA's state secretary. The government condemns the attack in the strongest possible terms.
There is a Hungarian national among those injured in the Barcelona attack: a Hungarian woman is lightly injured, but she has already been released from hospital, Levente Magyar, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said at his press conference held on Friday, Kormany.hu reported. The injured woman sustained a broken arm, and the staff members of the Barcelona Consulate General contacted her in person, but she requested no assistance, he told the press.
The state secretary reiterated that Hungary condemns the attack in the strongest possible terms which is now the umpteenth incident of this nature in the past year and a half in Europe. This time, a country was attacked which had recently lived in relative peace and calm, and this means that terrorism can strike anywhere and at any time, he pointed out. He added: we have, however, succeeded in protecting Hungary „from this crazy nightmare” that is afflicting Western-Europe, and the government is determined to ensure that this will remain the case also in the future.
