Four Hungarian companies, such as Hungary Meat Ltd, Dunakeszi Hutohaz Ltd, Kometa 99 Plc and Bakony Hus Ltd, got the chance to participate in Hungarian pork export to Chile.
Ministry of Agriculture announced Thursday that after successful talks, Chile agreed to receive quality pork from Hungary. “The Chilean export means new international market for the quality Hungarian pork”, said the Ministry in its statement. The Hungarian companies would be open to export not only pork, but milk and other dairy products, poultry and different meat types. Companies have already announced their interests, so further export expansion might due to happen soon.
The Chilean export connection is part of Hungary’s “opening to South” policy.
