Pierre Foldes's film project, Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman, won EUR 20000 at Berlinale Co-Production Market 2016 to make the movie.
The Berlinale Co-Production Market is a three-day-initiative for producers, film financiers, broadcasting representatives, distributors, world sales agents and representatives of funding bodies who work in the field of international co-productions.
This year's official selection contained 36 projects from 29 countries. The film found of the Council of Europe cooperated with Berlinale for the time, financing the Market's awards.
Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman will be made as Hungarian-French co-production based on novels by Haruki Murakami. Pierre Foldes will direct and the Hungarian co-producers will be Viktoria Petranyi and Nora Petak.
