Hungary belongs to the UN Human Rights Council, Foreign Minister says.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjarto said it a huge success that Hungary has been elected a member of the UN Human Rights Council. He added that the result clearly shows that despite "the insults, attacks and lies in the foreign press the world thinks that Hungary belongs to the Human Rights Council". Mr Szijjarto emphasised that Hungary will be an active member between 2017 and 2019.
Hungary has been a member of the 47-strong body before, between 2009 and 2012.
