Financial support for home developments will double next year to HUF 211 billion, based on the budget draft, Human Resources Ministry state secretary said.
Financial subsidies to families have risen 43% to HUF 261 billion since 2010, she said, adding that in the 2017 budget, there is an 8% increase projected.
Tax benefits will also be upped in 2017, leaving HUF 277 billion more money at taxpayers. The monthly tax benefit for families with two children will be raised to HUF 30,000 a month next year and to HUF 40,000 in 2019.
Overall, Hungary's spending on families will have reached HUF 870 billion next year, or 4% of the GDP, far above the OECD average, Katalin Novák said.
