There are no plans for big, permanent refugee camps in Hungary, Minister Janos Lazar said.
The Hungarian government on Wednesday discusses the possibility of closing the refugee centers near the Southern border, the Minister Heading the Prime Minister's Office, Janos Lazar said in Martely. The city council of Hodmezovasarhely decided with a consensus to ask the government to close the centre in Nagyfa because it's security risk for the nearby towns. According to Mr Lazar the government doesn't plan to open big, permanent reception centers and if immigrants should be temporarily accommodated then it won't happen near the Southern border.
More then 200 migrants live in the Nagyfa camp, the majority of them arrived in Hungary illegally. According to Lazar locals have been complaining that the migrants are insulting people, and those who live in remote farms are not safe. Last autumn there was a riot in the camp.
