We want a say in what relocation scheme the EU approves, Fidesz group leader Gergely Gulyas said after the ruling party proposed a resolution on the topic.

Ruling Fidesz is to submit a draft resolution rejecting the European Parliament's (EP) recent decision which imposes a mandatory migrant relocation scheme without upper limits on all EU member states, the party's parliamentary group leader said on Monday.

Hungary's parliament wants to have a say in what relocation scheme the EU approves, Gergely Gulyas told a press briefing, MTI reported.  "The mandatory quota scheme has already failed, there is no point in forcing it. . Migration issues are a matter of exclusive national competence", Gulyas said.
