Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade organized a conference, titled NATO – Open Doors, in Budapest. Guests discussed migration issues and the current situation on the West Balkan.
“The best instrument for guaranteeing Western Balkan stability, peace and development is the genuine possibility of Euro-Atlantic integration”, said Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto on the conference. He also talked about Hungary's favouring opinion on welcoming Montenegro to become a NATO member.
Mr Szijjarto added that Hungary would also like to see the joining of Macedonia, Georgia and Bosnia-Hercegovina as soon as possible, because the more Western Balkan region is integrated into NATO, the greater regional security will happen.
