According to the latest report of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office, number employment numbers has reached a 25-year peak with exceeding four million for almost two years.
The number of working people aged 15-74 years rose by 118 thousand year-on-year, to a total of 4 million 259 thousand. Employment rate in the 15-64 age group rose by 2.2 percentage points over the past one year, to 64.8 percent. As far as the gender aspect, employment rate rose in both groups, moreover women employment made record numbers with 58.4 percent.
Officials say that improving labour market indicators shows important steps in the Hungarian economic growth.
