Talks with business leaders in Texas could bring new investments to Hungary, in the service or automotive sectors, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó told Hungarian news agency MTI today
Szijjártó arrived in Dallas on Sunday evening at the start of an official visit to the United States. On Monday, he met with executives from American Airlines for talks on relaunching a direct flight between Hungary and the United States. Szijjártó is travelling with deputy state secretary for European and American ties Kristóf Altusz, government commissioner for managing the impact of the Russian embargo Gyula Budai, and Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) chairman Róbert Ésik.
On Tuesdazy, he travels to New York, where he will participate at a round table talk with executives of Coca-Cola, Lilly, Pfizer and Warburg-Pincus, among other companies. He is also scheduled today to formally announce the establishment of the American-Hungarian Business Council, MTI said.
