The Hungarian Parliament needs some time to process and build in suggestions to the new migration legislation. Debate might continue at the end of April.
Lawmakers got some useful suggestions during the last few rounds of debating new migration legislation that all have to be included into the future proposal. Representatives will continue debating on 20 April.
Fidesz representatives say that the new proposal will follow the rule to not to give more right to migrants than what the citizen Hungarians have.
According to officials, EU leaders still want to use the mandatory quota system, so the current state of “peace” regarding quota system is only “illusory”.
