Costes Downtown became the fifth Hungarian restaurant to be awarded with the prestigous Michelin Star.
The publisher of MCHELIN's Guide Main Cities of Europe 2016: Restaurants & Hotels has issued the latest publication on the list of recommended restaurants in 46 cities in Europe. Costes Downtown, located in Vigyázó Ferenc utca was awarded with a Michelin Star. It is the second restaurant owned by Károly Gerendai, the man behind the annual Sziget festival, to get the award, which appearently came unexpected.
Costes was the first restaurant to be awarded a Michelin Star in 2010. A year later Onyx joined the club. Borkonyha got its first Michelin Star in 2014 and remained in the prestigious group 2015. Tanti became the fourth Michelin starred restaurant in 2015, after having opened only in the previous year.
