Two-day conference in Budapest about radicalisation and immigration.

The Migration Research Institute and the National University of Public Service (NKE) organised a two-day conference about violent radicalisation and its dangers connected to illegal immigration in Budapest. Hungary is less concerned by violent radicalisation than other Western European societies, but in order to keep this competitive advantage we have to work more and learn from the mistakes of other countries, the Director of the Migration Research Institute, Balázs Orbán said in his opening speech on Wednesday. Mr Orbán reminded that an unforeseen migration wave reached Europe and some of the people came with fundamentalist motives, they had been radicalised before. He emphasised that in order to prevent radicalisation we have to pay attention to those too, who come with neutral or even good motives.
