Cabinet Minister Antal Rogan drew a parallel between the revolution of 1956 and the current migration crisis. He says failed policies led to Brexit.
”Washington sacrificed the boys of Pest for the Suez Canal in 1956, we can't let Brussels sacrifice the unity and future of Europe for a couple of million immigrants”, Cabinet Minister Antal Rogan said a vernissage in the House of Terror museum. According to the Minister the wrong migration policies of Brussels are responsible for the disintegration of Europe. ”The result of the Brexit referendum also shows that Brussels can't turn its back on national sovereignty”, he added. Referring to the revolution in 1956, Mr Rogan reminded that ”we Hungarians know what freedom means, because we have fought for it”. ”This means that every nation has the right to decide about its own future”, he added.
