Central and Eastern Europe may be EU’s growth engine in the next 10-15 years, but it needs a competent situation analysis and immense preparations, Minister for National Economy Mihaly Varga said at an international conference organized by the Ministry.
The international event commemorated the introduction of the Hungarian Forint 70 years ago, Hungary’s joining of the OECD 20 years ago and the establishment of the Brussels-based Bruegel Institute 10 years ago.
In his keynote speech Mr Varga stated that Central and Eastern Europe may be EU’s growth engine in the next 10-15 years, but to reach this goal we require a competent situation analysis, adequate responses and immense preparations.
